Education Issue

Education Issue

One issue I feel very strongly about is the way students are tested.  Students are most commonly tested through standardized testing. This is a very big issue, because students are being taught with only the test in mind.  To truly learn something it most become a behavior tendency. Think, yourself, of all the things you have been taught throughout your life, how much of what you were taught became a behavior tendency? By answering that question you are discovering how much information it is that you have truly learned.  One reason that this has become such an issue is because all too much the student is learning with only one goal, to pass the test. You yourself might once have asked or heard a peer ask why we need to know the information being taught, and gotten the response well you need to pass the test. An answer like this is where the true problems begin. A students mind is smart enough to know that he or she can cram to study, using memorization and still pass with a good grade, and although the goal of these tests  is to see how much you have learned, learning is not required to pass an evaluation, doesn’t that seem odd?
